York Solar was founded on a simple idea: getting solar and home batteries should be designed around your needs, not what’s best for the installer.
We started this company because we kept hearing the same story from homeowners across Yorkshire: “The company didn’t listen to what I wanted,” or “They used so much jargon I had no idea what I was buying,” or worst of all — “They disappeared as soon as the installation was done.”
That’s not how we do things.
Our Story
York Solar was founded by a team of local energy professionals who were tired of watching customers get a raw deal. We’d seen too many installations where the system didn’t match the homeowner’s needs, where the promises made during the sale didn’t match the reality, and where aftercare was non-existent.
So we set out to build the company we’d want to buy from ourselves:
